Anaphylaxis Training in Schools
Following the introduction of Benedict's Law earlier this year, schools have an
increased responsibility to recognise and respond effectively to anaphylaxis. This
training package is designed to give school staff the knowledge and confidence to
act quickly in an emergency.
Our course covers:
- Understanding what anaphylaxis is and the common causes.
- Recognising the signs and symptoms of a severe allergic reaction.
- How to treat anaphylaxis safely and effectively using adrenaline auto- injectors (EpiPensĀ®).
- Practical, hands-on training with trainer devices, giving every member of staff the opportunity to practise using an auto-injector.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for infants, children and adults, including use of an Automated External Defibrillator.
Our experienced instructors deliver engaging, practical training tailored specifically
for schools, helping staff feel prepared to respond confidently should an emergency
occur.
