Our RCUK-accredited Immediate Life Support (ILS) Course provides healthcare professionals with the essential skills and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations.
During the ILS course, you will develop the skills to:
Recognise and treat the deteriorating adult patient using the ABCDE approach, including managing airways with simple manoeuvres and adjuncts
Undertake and demonstrate high-quality CPR and safe defibrillation
Identify the causes and promote the prevention of cardiopulmonary arrest
Utilise non-technical skills to facilitate team leadership and effective team membership
eILS - Immediate Life Support (with e-learning element)
eILS was launched in 2019 and uses the same core curriculum as ILS but offers an e-learning element to reduce the duration of face-to-face element of the course.
This blended-learning programme combines flexible online study with a focused half-day practical session, allowing participants to apply their knowledge through realistic clinical scenarios and hands-on training.
This course is suitable for doctors, medical students, nurses, nursing students, midwives, paramedics, dentistry professionals and other health and care professionals working in the community or acute care settings.
